Spain foreign minister meets Qatari emir, backs two-state solution
Jose Manuel Albares has met the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to discuss bilateral relations.
In a post on X, Spain’s foreign minister said during the meeting in Doha he had affirmed Spain’s firm commitment to “peace and stability in the region”.
He added that this would include the release of captives and a ceasefire, as well as a two-state solution in the Israel-Palestine conflict with Israel and Palestine coexisting in peace.
