The Israeli army is limiting its presence in northern Gaza after it “succeeded in completely dismantling” Hamas infrastructure in the area, said Eylon Levy, a spokesman for the prime minister’s office.
The claim could not immediately be independently verified. The army has “shifted into a new phase of the fighting” and will “target pockets of resistance” in the northern Gaza Strip, Levy said, following an intense military campaign there since Oct. 7.
The U.S. military said it destroyed more Houthi targets in Yemen, including 10 drones and a “UAV ground control center,” after identifying an “imminent threat” against ships in the Red Sea as tensions escalate in the Middle East.
